The Life of Riley

Well it sure has been a wonderful year! We have been blessed beyond what we deserve. Here are some highlights from the last 12 months... January- Chad and I took a trip to Napa Valley where we enjoyed a long weekend of wine tasting and fine dining! We had a blast. Here we are at Far Niente, one of our favorite tours and tastings. February- We found out we were pregnant! Quite a bit of shock at first but after reality set in we were so excited! March- Chad turned 25! I surprised him and took him to Vegas. A second surprise- our friends Courtney and Jason met us there! April- Deja Vu! Bre turned 21 so we headed to Vegas again! We stayed at the Encore hotel and had a blast living it up! May- We had our 20 week ultrasound and found out we were having a boy! Chad was relieved- to say the least! ;) June- We were on the Newlywed Game Show June 30th and won the grand prize! An all expenses paid trip to Costa Rica! We will be traveling there in June of 2011 with Kai and are thrilled to go for f...

What an awesome Thanksgiving we had! It all started Thanksgiving Eve- Chad passed his Electrican Test, Yay! We later went down to Debbie and Rene's beach house were we would be staying the rest of the week while they camped in Oceanside. We were so grateful to spend time at this piece of paradise on earth! Kai loved the ocean! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves is something we all could get used to! ;) Kai with Aunt Bre Thanksgiving day. Happy boy! This is the seal that ventured up on the beach right out front of the house. He was just hanging out, checking us out and resting on the rocks for a couple hours. So fun! Just a quick post, I love Glee so much! We watch it every week ever since the first episode and I can't help but to love it and sing along with it and yes, I eventually end up rewatching them! This is in my all time favorite top 2 preformances of this show, it's so good! "Be your teenage dream tonight" Love it! Love living vicariously through this show, I so wish it were my life in high school!

On October 15, 2010 at 4:28 p.m. we welcomed Mr. Malakai Michael Riley into this world and into our hearts. He weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz and 18.5 inches. Mama had to have an urgent C-section as the pregnancy began to wear on my body and it was time for baby to come out. That was a little bit of drama but as soon as he was here all my worries went away. Daddy got to hold him first and was in love from the moment he laid eyes on his boy. I was pretty helpless the couple days after the delivery so Chad took over and did everything- minus the breastfeeding. :) I didn't have to change a diaper until we were home! Watching my husband, the man I have loved for 10 years, love and care for our son has made me fall into such a deep, profound love for him, it is something I cannot put into words and definitely never thought I could love him more than I already did! Wow, so much to update since the last time we have put our last little glimps of life up here. Well, the most exciting that we have to just jump right into is our gift of our first child! We are expecting our little guy in mid-october!! We cannot even wait and we are anxiously anticipating his arrival into our lives as he is already in our hearts. Being pregnant has been such a blessing and been such an unreal time in our lives. Our love has expanded as we continue to just look at each other and say, "We are really having a baby!?!" After 10 years of being in each others lives and envisioning this day, it's pretty indescrible how we feel. We are going from 2 to 3! God has once again blessed us so much in giving us (in HIS timing :) ) our little bean. As far as everyones health- baby is doing GREAT and moves ALL the time.
