Oh Boy!



Wow, so much to update since the last time we have put our last little glimps of life up here. Well, the most exciting that we have to just jump right into is our gift of our first child! We are expecting our little guy in mid-october!! We cannot even wait and we are anxiously anticipating his arrival into our lives as he is already in our hearts. Being pregnant has been such a blessing and been such an unreal time in our lives. Our love has expanded as we continue to just look at each other and say, "We are really having a baby!?!" After 10 years of being in each others lives and envisioning this day, it's pretty indescrible how we feel. We are going from 2 to 3! God has once again blessed us so much in giving us (in HIS timing :) ) our little bean. As far as everyones health- baby is doing GREAT and moves ALL the time. He especially enjoys using Mommy's bladder as a trampoline! He has a strong heart beat and is measuring exactly where he should be. Mom's doing great and really enjoying being pregnant- minus the back pain!





Other exciting news- we got a massive Eastern king bed! We no longer have to sleep in a double bed! We figured our son would not enjoy sleeping in between us on a double so we upgraded. It has been heavenly and worth every penny!





Chad is working hard at his new job at Terminix and just started his shift working 2 pm- ?? Lately it's been till 3 and 4 am which has been a little tough but we are so happy that he has a job in this crazy economy!





Rachel is still enjoying working at UCI and has joined the cardiac OR team. It is a lot of work but she really enjoys it and loves the people she works with. She can't believe how much she is learning and how much more there is to learn. Good thing she LOVES the cardiac system!



Our one year wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks! We can't even believe it's been a year! Where does the time go?!


We are planning on moving at the end of July to a bigger, new 2 bedroom apartment in Aliso Viejo. We can't wait to get in our new place and start setting up the baby's nursery. Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong have already bought plenty of things for the baby, his wardrobe is practically finished! We are doing a surf/beach theme in his room, it's so fun collecting things for his room!





Oh and one more thing- if you missed our Newleywed game show that aired on the GSN, we won a trip to Costa Rica and are busy planning it for next spring!!! Yay!!

Feeling Inspired!

I am feeling inspired today! I love making homemade baby food for my beautiful boy! I really can't say enough about the huge advantage making your own baby food is. The price alone is an immediate seller. I buy organic, locally grown produce and spend about 15-25 dollars which lasts me at least a month. If we were buying the same amount of jarred organic baby food we would be spending about 100 dollars a month. Big difference! I also love knowing exactly what goes in my son's (cute) little tummy. No preservatives, no food dye, and no processed food for him. Another big plus is that I can introduce him to flavors and foods that are unique and typically not found in your average baby food. Currently, I am steaming some yams, zucchini, chicken, green beans and rosemary-all certified organic and yummy of course. I call it "R oast Chicken Dinner" - fancy huh? Recent Events

Time is rolling on and life is rolling right along with it! Yesterday was our official 1 month anniversary, it seems so small compared to 8 years of loving each other but still, celebrating never gets old! Rachel started her new job yesterday as a perioperative RN and UCI. I have never seen/ been a part of a more amazing hospital and the benefits are incredible, by far the best hospital around! I feel blessed to be a part of their periop team. We have a robot called The DaVinci that surgeons use to preform Urological surgeies ! It's a little overwhelming but we will learn and we will be great Rn's once we are done with our training program. This is a picture of my homemade pizza. The dough was even homemade ! It was a 2 hour event, I got a little stressed attempting to flatten the dough out after we had already flattened and then balled it up again. When the Poop Hits the Fan- LITERALLY!

Day 4 in the bag! Phew, barely. Today was too classic not to blog about, so hopefully it brings a smile to your face. :) Woke up this morning with serious tummy issues only to find both Elijah and Jameson feeling under the weather.  Cancelled our Thursday playdate and we lounged around hydrating and just taking it easy (OK they were taking it easy, me, on the other hand, that's a joke. I am a mom of 3 littles after all. I was playing Mommy Nurse). Around 11 we sat down to do school. Now, Elijah's participation is hit and miss, which I completely expected.  He is always game for music time (he is a dancing king after all) and game time. But today he decided he wanted to join for all of it.  So little Mister with his pensive mind asked "Why?" only 80 gazillion times today.  We stopped and had a snack every 10 minutes (Elijah is my hungry boy after all) and a few water breaks (thirsty boy too).
