Where Did June Go?!?
Well, I'm supposed to be napping according to doc's orders (aka- Chad) but I have a very active baby boy in my tummy and I'm feeling nostalgic. Does that ever happen to you when are sick? Just no energy to do anything but think? Anyways, it does me! I think it's the wannabe philosopher in me!
I can't believe it's almost July! What in the world?! This month has been incredibly busy, I have so much I want to catch up on in the lives of my loved ones but not finding the time I need! Thankful for social media so I can watch from afar, but even lately I haven't had much time for that! We moved into our new home a few weeks ago and just love it. It's so spacious, charming and peaceful here. Poor neighbors, nothing about our kids is peaceful. Sorry about that guys! They think the backyard is a literal forest(which to a One and three year old, it totally is!) and they enjoy playing Tarzan and riding their motorized quad and jeep through the trees. To me, it's just heaven! Unpacking is still not done, we have the big bonus room to do and we'll basically be done besides some wall hangings. Hopefully we can get this place ready for Elijah's Birthday next month.
Ya, that's right. I said it, Elijah is already having another birthday! I can't believe he is going to be 2! He is my sweet baby in so many ways, although I've never seen a one year old talk, act, or do the things he does. I'm sure that's thanks to being the little brother. He has learned from the master ;). We always look at him and think, wait, he's not 2 yet?! How does he do all these things?! He definitely tries to keep up with his bro!
Malakai is just at an awesome stage/age. He is super into learning about anything and everything! He's in swimming and can dive down and get items from the bottom of the pool! Of course he has a bit of assistance. This is all after ONE swim lesson! We are super proud of him. He told us he gets a little bit scared but he can't be a diver without trying. Out of the mouths of babes! I wish I had that attitude about, oh, most things! We start school in August and I don't know who is more excited! I've looked through our curriculum about 10 times since it came a couple weeks ago. And Kai asks everyday when we can start. Looking forward to this pre-k year and teaching him from our awesome school room. I also just can't wait for the many field trips we can take over the years to all the beautiful spots right in our own backyard. That's learning at it's finest!
Chad and I are doing well, we love having so much space. I'm a little overwhelmed with the cleaning. I feel like it's at least an hour a day of solid floor and surface cleaning. Things get dirty when you have two toddler boys, I suppose I'm not alone in this endless cleaning war. Baby is doing great, I'm definitely popping out! My belly is round! 22 weeks which apparently makes me 6 months according to the OB, although that doesn't add up in my book. I'm FINALLY not throwing up or constantly nauseous. So grateful for this! Chad and I are really looking forward to celebrating 5 years of marriage next month in Maui. It's going to be great to get away just the two of us before we add another addition to the family. We miss our friends and family on the mainland but look forward to your visits/our trip back to see everyone. Hopefully sometime around May/June of next year we'll have a nice couple week vacation back to see everyone. For now, we have a nice guest room just waiting to be used! :) Who's in?!
