Happy Happy Happy!

Do you like my Duck Dynasty title? I just love that show.  But the title should read Joy Joy Joy because I am feeling truly contented and joyful, not just a temporary happiness. This time of year always reminds me of the promise that we have in our Saviour.  It can also be easy to forget with all the busy holidays and shopping and parties etc.  My prayer is that God takes priority in my families daily life no matter what.  I was slowed down a couple weeks ago when my appendix decided it was time to leave my body.  I had an emergency surgery which I recovered very quickly from, and then a week later I developed an infection which hospitalized me for a few days and set me back on my butt.  I am happy to say that I am doing so much better and will be fully back to myself by the holidays! But it definitely made me take a step back and relax which is something I do not do often.  I had to learn a lesson from all of this and that lesson was that I need to slow down and be careful  not to book myself every day of every week.  We are super involved in a lot of things and have a lot of friends we love to spend time with, but sometimes just sitting at home with your family and enjoying just the four of us is the best thing for us.  So I have decided to NOT host any more parties this year and not plan a million things with all my friends.  We have enough on our plate as it is between Thanksgiving in Prescott, to my best friend Laurelle's wedding, to Hawaii in December.

Speaking of Hawaii, we are SO looking forward to our trip.  It's going to be really interesting traveling with Elijah at this crazy state that he is in. Another thing I am having a hard time figuring out is the luggage issues, how do you pack for a family of four PLUS Christmas?!?  We are currently shopping around for more suitcases, ugh.  Such a pain but so worth it.  We can't wait to get over there and relax! It will be great to sit on the beach and play with my babies! Kai is so excited, they are going to have a blast.

As for the boys, they are awesome, what can I say?! Kai is hilarious and cracks us up with the things he comes up with! The other day he told me Jesus doesn't live in our hearts, he lives in our tummy! Boy did he tell me! He is potty training and doing a really great job! He loves playing with his friends and goes a million miles an hour to keep up with the older kids.  He loves going to church and asks me everyday if we can go, apparently three days a week is not enough for him! We just love him and love spending time with our Bubba Boy!

Elijah is quite the little stinker these days.  He will climb up on anything and stand up tall and strong with no fear at all, meanwhile giving the rest of us a heart attack! He follows his brother around all day and at times gets ran over by him and his buddies but he gets right back up.  He is so tough and I love him for that! He loves playing ball and catch and ------ literally just had to run and get him as he climbed on top of our glass patio table and tried to shimmy up the umbrella! Seriously child?!? Anyways... yes he loves playing ball and wrestling with his Dad and Kai.  It's like WWF here every night when Chad comes home.  Elijah loves his Dad so much, he is attached at his hip from the moment he walks through the door.  I love it! He won't even come to me when Chad is here.  Definitely a sign of how awesome of a dad Chad is.

Lastly, but never least, Chad.  My love and my partner.  He is awesome, working double time since I am not working and not getting disability pay.  He took such great care of me when I was sick.   He is such a special guy.  He works harder then anyone I know, comes home and rolls up his sleeves and plays with the boys, helps me around the house and still has time to treat me like a queen.  I tell ya, that is the secret to our marriage and our joy.  He is amazing and I am humbled when I think of how lucky I am to have him as my partner for life!

Well, I better jump off the computer, the kids are doing a bubble science experiment in the backyard and getting soaked while the cold wind blows and they shiver.  Water and cold weather was probably not a good idea! Oops.  :) Another wild, silly day in the our home.  And I want two more babies?!?! We'll see...................... ;)
