Baby Einstein

It is so fun watching Kai discover our world. As we speak we are all watching Baby Einstein's Noah's Ark movie. Kai is seeming to really enjoy watching all the animals! He's bouncing around like crazy in his chair, talking to the animals and smiling, laughing and shouting- it's precious! He turned 3 months yesterday and I can hardly even believe he is out of his "fourth trimester" and into a more alert and playful stage of life. He loves exploring his world and taking in things around him and what a joy it is for Chad and I to be able to help him explore. It really makes me feel like a kid again myself! We are currently at the stage of getting ready for solid foods. He is showing a HUGE interest in what we eat and he seems to be hungry more often then usual and went from sleeping 10-11 hours a night back to 7-8 hours which is apparently a sign it's time to start supplementing with cereal. I can't believe it is almost time! We are going to the doctor this week and are going to discuss bubba's food. I am super thrilled about this because my goal is to make all his food myself. My sister bought us a Beaba babycook for Christmas (big thanks Bre!!) and I have a couple cookbooks for healthy, organic baby meals. I can't wait! I know it is going to be a little more work then just feeding him food out of a store bought jar but I am bound and determined to provide Malakai with yummy, organic, fresh food! I really love cooking for Chad and I so it makes sense to cook for Kai. Wish us luck on this venture, it should be pretty interesting and exciting!

Having Kai around has been nothing but a complete joy! If every baby was as easy as he is and if money grew on trees I would have 10 of them! Chad would be thrilled! For now, I am extremely content to spend time with my beautiful, special, smart little man. Not only has he rolled over from his tummy to his back (at 6 weeks) he is now rolling from his back to his side and tummy!! He is incredibly strong and advanced for his age- according to his Dr. not ME! I wouldn't even notice the difference, but Dr. said he is a very smart boy and as I continually research babies and their developmental stages I am learning that Dr. Clark is right! :) Go Bubs!

  1. Ah little bubs (so cute). I keep trying to study his features, looking for Chad or you or other family members. He's got your nose I think, and he kinda sorta looks like your dad a little:) haha. He has a very sweet soft baby face, just like his papa though:)
Love and miss you guys. Keep up with the pics!! I cant believe how big he is getting:(
