Thankfulness

We have so much to be thankful for this year. As we look back and reflect we are overwhelmed at how blessed we are. We have a God who loves us and takes care of us in all aspects of our lives. We have our health, we have jobs, we have careers, we have wonderful family and friends, we live in the greatest country, we have our freedom and, of course, we have the gift of marriage! It's been so fun to celebrate as husband and wife, we still look at each other sometimes and say, "wait, are we seriously married?!" Its such a wonderful thing to live and share so much of your life with you best friend, lover and partner (in and out of crime (; ).
Our thanksgiving was wonderful! We both had thursday and friday off, so it was practically a vacation! We spent Thanksgiving with our great friends, The Hathaways, at their beautiful new home in Dove Canyon. It has been a tradition for the Armstrongs and Hathways to spend Thanksgiving together for a while so it was fun to have one more family- aka, the Riley's- added to the table this year. We had an awesome meal, our contribution was a squash, pear and onion au gratin and Mediterranean stuffing. So yummy! The day after turkey day we went to our friend's Courtney and Jason's wedding. They got married on a yacht in Newport beach and it was such an exciting day! It was so fun to share in their joy. This was our first close friends to be married and I felt so old! Time is flying and everyone is growing up and moving on with their lives, such a fun stage in life to be in! We stayed at the Hyatt in the backbay and got upgraded to a suite! It was super nice and it was great to have a night out.
Chad started working at the Auld Dubliner tonight. He will be doing security there fri-sunday nights. It's going to be a little lonely around her without him but we are happy for the extra income :). I'm now sitting here listening to Christmas music and enjoying the gorgeous lights that Chad hung last week. We cannot wait for Christmas! We are getting our big tree next weekend and then it's 100% that time of year! Off to make some hot Cocoa and watch a movie while waiting for my hubby to get home. Hope all of your thanksgivings were blessed! We all have so much to be thankful for! Enjoy your holidays! :)
Lots of love,
The Riley's
